Great Compression AI

The Great Compression Theory

In the age of AI, the Great Compression Theory was first proposed by
Professor Jin Li of the University of Hong Kong.

A new way to think about AI, organization, and the future.

In the age of artificial intelligence, we may need a new language to understand how knowledge, decision-making, organizational roles, and human judgment are being compressed, reorganized, and transformed.

Great Compression AI

(Great Compression AI)

A Theory Still Unfolding

Great Compression AI is not just about technological progress.

It is about what happens when information, processes, roles,
knowledge, and judgment are continuously compressed by AI.

As compression deepens, organizations will change.
Institutions will change.
And the place of human beings inside systems
may also need to be redefined.

About the Book

This book is not a simple response to the AI wave.

It is an attempt to offer a deeper framework for understanding what AI is really changing beneath the surface — not only in tools, but in structures, institutions, and the ways people organize value, knowledge, and action.

We also hope that readers will enjoy the book.
